Best Overall Laptop: HP Spectre x360 13.5 (2023)

As the latest addition to the Spectre series, a highly respected name in Windows laptops, HP's Spectre x360 13.5 once again highlights its near-perfect design and performance.

This exceptional laptop stands out with its high-end configuration and superb design. With its striking exterior, adjustable OLED display, and excellent keyboard, it's no exaggeration to say that this is the best of HP laptops.

In terms of performance, the HP Spectre x360 13.5 is powered by Intel's 13th generation processors, specifically the U15 series processors. Powered by the powerful Intel Core i7-1355U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads for superior performance. Its longer battery life also makes it a smart choice. Moreover, this laptop is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD for storage.

The laptop's screen is a highlight, with the 13.5-inch display featuring a rare 3:2 aspect ratio over 16:10 and support for touch and pen input.

The default configuration is FHD+ resolution. Users can also opt for a stunning 3K2K OLED panel with ultra-high definition and richer colors. HP's webcam is also one of the best in the market with a 5 MP sensor that supports Windows Hello facial recognition.

The smaller model has a resolution of 2560 x 1664, while the larger model goes as high as 2880 x 1864. they have the same number of pixels per inch, presenting an equally sharp picture. The one thing that may not be as satisfying is the notch at the top of the screen that houses a crisp 1080p webcam.

The M2 MacBook Air features a completely new design in a flat unibody construction that is as thin as 11.3 mm and weighs 2.7 pounds. The chassis is made entirely of aluminum and is available in four colors - Silver, Dark Sky Gray, Midnight and Starlight.

In terms of ports, the design is relatively minimalist, including two Thunderbolt / USB4 ports, a headphone jack with support for high-impedance headphones, and a MagSafe connector for charging.

MacBook Air (M2) is Apple's best notebook yet, with its thinness, portability, performance and design.

Best 13-inch laptop: Dell XPS 13 Plus (2023)

The Dell XPS line has always been lauded for its sophisticated design, and the new Dell XPS 13 Plus takes an even more compelling step forward with an ultra-modern look and enhanced performance while maintaining a compact design.

From the sleek design to the innovative use of capacitive function keys, this laptop is definitely ahead of its peers in terms of futuristic feel, making it one of the top choices among Dell laptops today.

In terms of performance, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is powered by Intel's 13th Generation P-Series processors, including the Intel Core i7-1360P with up to 12 cores and 16 threads, delivering exceptional performance for everyday tasks and more demanding workloads. It also integrates Intel Iris Xe graphics and comes with 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of SSD mass storage.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has an impressive display with a 13.4-inch screen featuring a 16:10 aspect ratio. The base configuration is a Full HD+ IPS panel, and users have the option of upgrading to a 3.5K (3465×2160) OLED panel or an Ultra HD+ (3840×2400) IPS display with 100% Adobe RGB color gamut coverage.

Unfortunately, the resolution of the webcam is still 720p, but it's an improvement over the previous model. The webcam itself is now a separate infrared camera sensor for Windows Hello, which improves image quality.

The design of the Dell XPS 13 Plus is one of its major highlights. As an ultra-modern laptop, it features an invisible touchpad and touch-enabled function keys above the keyboard. The appearance is unique but may take some time to get used to. Featuring a clean design made of aluminum, it is light and perfect for carrying.

However, this compact and modern design only offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports and no others. While Dell provides a USB-A adapter and headphone jack in the package, users may need to purchase an additional high-quality Thunderbolt docking station. The Dell XPS 13 Plus stands out as a trendsetter among 13-inch laptops with its futuristic design and superior performance.

Best 16-inch laptop: Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro stands out with its stunning 16-inch display and great performance, powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core processor up to Core i7-1360P with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It also packs up to 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

This makes the laptop an excellent performer for common tasks. It also has an excellent battery life to match its performance, with 7 to 9 hours of real-world operation.

Undeniably, the most striking aspect of this laptop is its display - a large 16-inch AMOLED panel (14-inch models are also available) with a resolution of 2.8K and an aspect ratio of 16:10. AMOLED technology delivers truly deep blacks and full colors, and the screen also features an outstanding 120Hz refresh rate.

All these amazing features are configured by default. In addition, the addition of a 1080p webcam ensures that you will be able to present a clear picture during video calls.

However, it's worth noting that the laptop doesn't have Windows Hello facial recognition and instead relies on a fingerprint reader.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro is made of all-aluminum and is amazingly thin at just 12.5mm, but relatively heavy. Samsung has taken full advantage of this massive chassis, including a huge touchpad with a striking design.

Best 17-inch laptop: Dell XPS 17 (2023)

The Dell XPS 17 has always been known for its large size and high performance, and the latest version, the 2023, manages to not only continue that tradition, but also take it a step further in terms of performance. As one of the best 17-inch laptops on the market, it's known as the "biggest, most powerful" laptop in the Dell XPS lineup.

The XPS 17 features a powerful 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor paired with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 laptop GPU.

This makes the XPS 17 one of the most powerful laptops to date, making it easy to accomplish a variety of tasks, including high-performance gaming and video rendering. Users also have the option to configure up to 64GB of RAM and a generous 8TB of SSD storage.

The 17-inch display is also quite impressive. Featuring a higher 16:10 aspect ratio, FHD+ base resolution, and the option for users to upgrade to touch-enabled 4K resolution, the 4K panel covers the 100% Adobe RGB color gamut, providing content creators with a superior display whether they're editing video or illustrating digitally.

Unfortunately, the XPS 17 still packs a 720p webcam, though at least it supports Windows Hello facial recognition.

Despite its powerful configuration, the XPS 17's design remains compact, measuring less than 20 mm thick and weighing 5.1 lbs. The exterior design is sleek, blending a silver exterior with a black carbon fiber interior.

In terms of ports, the XPS 17 offers four Thunderbolt 4 connectors, as well as a headphone jack and an SD card reader. Once again, this XPS 17 sets an example of performance and design in the laptop segment, leading the way in the era of large screens.

Best for Creators: MacBook Pro (M3, 2023)

For the webcam, the laptop comes with an excellent 1080p sensor but does not support facial recognition, however, users can use Touch ID.

The MacBook Pro has a pretty classic design with an all-metal flip cover and weighs just 3.5 pounds (for the 14-inch M3 Pro model). That's a very reasonable weight considering the power of the MacBook Pro. The new Space Black color is a new addition to the M3 Pro and M3 Max variants, and joins the classic Silver color for even more options.
