Hello! I’m Yuan Hehe. Please follow me for more exciting content. Huawei Watch Fit 4 review
This year has not been easy for Huawei’s wearable device line. In addition to updating its high-end models that focus on health capabilities, the more affordable Watch Fit series has also undergone an iteration.

Compared to high-end models that emphasize “comprehensiveness and flagship status,” the Watch Fit series has consistently been the most attractive product line. It has found a rare balance between size, functionality, and user experience, covering a large number of usage scenarios that were originally handled by basic fitness trackers with its relatively lightweight form factor.
The latest generation Watch Fit 4 continues this approach, further enhancing its sports and health-related capabilities based on the reputation of its predecessor, while maintaining a clear product positioning. It doesn’t pursue piling on complex functions, but rather makes more sophisticated trade-offs around daily wearability, activity tracking, and health management, which is precisely why this series continues to receive attention.
Design and Display
From Fit 2 to Fit 3, the Watch Fit series has undergone significant changes in appearance—it has gradually shed its “wristband” image and begun to move towards a more complete smartwatch form. With Fit 4, this design approach has been further solidified and refined.

The watch maintains a relatively restrained size of 43mm, making it lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear, while also offering 50-meter water resistance. Compared to the slightly more angular lines of the previous generation, the edges of the new model’s case are noticeably more rounded, resulting in a more unified and sophisticated look.
The body thickness is controlled at 9.5 mm, slightly thinner than the Fit 3, but the weight difference is not significant. The rotating crown and physical buttons are retained, but now the connection with the aluminum alloy case is more natural, and the feel during operation is crisper, without the cheap and loose feeling.

It’s worth noting that the initial strap options are somewhat conservative, currently mainly offering fluoroelastomer and braided materials. Fortunately, the quick-release mechanism remains user-friendly, making the replacement process very intuitive, and the official straps available later will also meet different style requirements.
The display remains a major strength of the Watch Fit series. The 1.82-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 480 × 408, offers rapid touch response and a crisp, clear display. The most noticeable improvement comes from brightness, with peak brightness increased to 2000 nits, which is especially important for outdoor activities or navigation functions.
Battery life
In terms of battery life, the Watch Fit 4 maintains the same overall performance as its predecessor. The official maximum usage time is still 10 days. Under normal usage scenarios, most users can use it stably for about 7 days. If high-power functions such as always-on display are enabled, the battery life will be shortened to about 4 days under heavy use.

In our hands-on experience, we alternated between raise-to-wake and always-on display modes. It was confirmed that always-on display still significantly impacts battery consumption. In addition, increasing screen brightness, all-day health monitoring, and music playback also put some strain on battery life.
Overall, this battery life performance is not worrying. Even with many functions enabled, four days of continuous use is still perfectly acceptable; and with the always-on display turned off, it’s easy to use for a whole week.
Exercise, fitness and health tracking
In terms of functionality, the Fit 4 is clearly more focused on health and exercise itself, rather than a “jack-of-all-trades” smartwatch experience. The system’s built-in sports modes are very comprehensive, covering common sports such as running, swimming, hiking, and skiing, and also providing detailed options for different intensities and scenarios, making it highly practical.

The most noteworthy upgrade is the addition of dual-frequency positioning capability. This improvement is significant for people who frequently engage in outdoor activities—especially in urban high-rises, woodlands, or complex terrain, where it noticeably improves positioning stability and trajectory integrity.
In practical use, the Fit 4’s positioning performance is quite solid. Whether it’s the accuracy in tracking running routes or the recording of details like turns and U-turns, it maintains a high degree of consistency, with overall error control being appropriate. Even compared to larger, more professional high-end sports watches, its performance in daily exercise recording remains composed, without giving the impression of a “cheap alternative.”

In terms of health monitoring, Fit 4 continues to provide basic tracking such as heart rate, sleep, and blood oxygen throughout the day, and integrates the data into more intuitive health status feedback, making it suitable for long-term wear and continuous observation. It is not the kind of device that pursues extremely professional indicators, but it has found a fairly reasonable balance between accuracy, stability, and readability.
healthy
In terms of health monitoring, Watch Fit 4 has also added some new practical functions, but its overall positioning remains clear: it does not pursue complex medical-grade indicators, but rather makes daily health management stable and reliable.

Compared to higher-end models, it doesn’t support electrocardiogram or blood pressure monitoring, nor does it feature the latest generation of advanced sensing systems, thus limiting the number of unlockable health indicators. However, this compromise is not unexpected for a device that emphasizes lightweight design and cost-effectiveness.
The watch is equipped with a heart rate sensor that supports all-day monitoring and performs remarkably stably in continuous tracking mode. In addition to basic blood oxygen monitoring, the Fit 4 offers a comprehensive suite of health insights. The system analyzes sleep quality, resting heart rate, and mood trends to help users understand their physical condition more intuitively, rather than just viewing individual data points.

Emotional well-being tracking is a highlight worth mentioning separately. This feature analyzes daily activity data and heart rate variability, similar to common stress monitoring logic, but presented in a more intuitive way.
Whether on the watch itself or in the companion app, the data is presented clearly and easily, focusing on practical guidance rather than simply piling up metrics. While it may not be among the most advanced in the industry in terms of depth and professionalism, this combination of features is comprehensive enough for most users who are concerned about daily health, sleep, and mood management, making it easier to stick with it long-term.
Smartwatch Functionality Experience
If you had to sum it up in one sentence, the Watch Fit 4 isn’t an “all-around” smartwatch, but it still leaves a fairly reliable impression in most everyday scenarios.

In terms of system compatibility, the overall experience is quite stable whether used with Android or iOS. In daily use, basic functions such as checking phone notifications, weather information, Bluetooth calls, and controlling music playback run smoothly and are unlikely to cause any problems.
In terms of user experience, the Watch Fit 4’s advantages lie primarily in its smoothness and completeness. The interface is responsive, the operation logic is intuitive, and there are virtually no noticeable lags or delays. The watch face selection is also quite rich, including both static and animated styles, with an overall simple and pleasing aesthetic that can satisfy different tastes.

Compared to other products in its class, the Watch Fit 4’s smartwatch capabilities are not lacking. It doesn’t deliberately pursue “feature stacking,” but rather focuses on refining the core experience. For users who primarily use it for notification viewing, basic interaction, and health management, this approach is more practical.
Overall, the Watch Fit 4 is not a product that pursues ultimate intelligence, but its performance in terms of stability, ease of use, and overall completeness is enough to make it a recommended choice for everyday smartwatches.
