But it’s this streamlining that makes it a more cost-effective professional choice, especially for photography enthusiasts who value image quality.

Although it’s not an entry-level product, the Mavic 3 Classic still retains what we consider to be the best main camera in a foldable drone: a 4/3-inch CMOS sensor. This large sensor delivers image quality far superior to other portable drones, maintaining excellent detail and color in all lighting conditions.

The DJI Mavic 3 Classic can shoot up to 5.1K resolution video in standard, HLG, and 10-bit color modes, which is more than enough for most content creators. Thanks to its large sensor, it also performs very well in noise control across the entire ISO range.

In terms of flight experience, it inherits the original Mavic 3’s obstacle avoidance system, subject tracking, and automated flight features. Even though it’s not a beginner-friendly product, we found it very easy to use in our actual testing. In my review, I found the flying experience to be very intuitive, and the newly added simplified ACRO mode also makes aerial stunts more friendly to beginners.

Compared to its predecessor, the Avata 2 features a longer, flatter fuselage and optimized aerodynamics. This results in a smoother flight, increased flight time to a maximum of 23 minutes, and reduced noise levels for a quieter and more comfortable flight experience.

In real-world testing, the Atom 2’s overall performance was impressive. For this price point, it also offers precise intelligent tracking capabilities and a suite of one-touch flight modes similar to DJI QuickShots, allowing for effortless capture of dynamic shots.

In terms of still photos, Botan ATOM 2 supports 12MP RAW + JPEG shooting, and can also output JPEG super-resolution photos up to 48MP, which is enough for entry-level aerial photography users to meet most shooting needs.
