Hello, how are you? I am the original huh, click on the attention, more exciting content waiting for you!
I got to meet the new Xiaomi 13 Pro, the most powerful flagship phone Xiaomi has produced to date. But it was a pleasure to have access to this impressive Xiaomi phone, and these are our first impressions.
Xiaomi has always wanted to match the best configuration and design for the occasion, and the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro is the result of an excellent study in terms of design, specifications and price, since we are dealing with the most powerful phone that the brand has achieved for this 2023, his flagship phone, his masterpiece.
Quality design, elegance and sophistication
Xiaomi's CEO has already told us a few days ago that the design of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are very similar. As far as the Xiaomi 13 Pro is concerned, I opted for either a white or black ceramic back cover, the latter being the one I've been testing for a while now and it leaves a lot of fingerprints.
This rear curves to the sides, just like the screen. The aluminum frame is kept to a minimum and feels incredible in the hand: weighing 210 grams, the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro is comfortable in the hand and does not feel fragile at any time, even though it is the thinnest point reaches 8.4 mm.
The camera module is located in the upper left corner and is rectangular, black and very recognizable from a distance, with a contrasting white color and black color that blends in with the rest of the body.
As I said, the phone's dimensions are very well balanced, and while placing it face up on a flat surface might result in imbalance (due to that camera module), its slender shape and narrow thickness between screaming hands in four winds is the highest range Xiaomi currently has.
It should be noted that Xiaomi has equipped both phones with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. As always, I recommend that you do not water test either of these two models or I will not be responsible for accidents yo this resistance will protect it better.
Screens are used for everything, the phone is the screen
The front of the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro is as "high-end" as the rest of the phone's design. I'm talking about the AMOLED panel's large size of 6.73 inches, huge 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It also has LTPO technology that allows you to change the refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz to save battery power.
The other most important specification of the screen is its brightness level. Xiaomi has managed to achieve a peak brightness of up to 1900 nits on both the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which will be noticeable when you hold it in your hand and turn it up to the max, and it will still show up very clearly when it's full of sunlight outside. This is one of the brightest peaks in the entire Android range.
As for the design of the screen, it is used to the extreme. As a curved panel that distinguishes it from the standard Xiaomi 13, it improves the feel in the hand, and the center hole for the selfie camera occupies a basic minimum that prioritizes this incredible screen.
Among other specs for this screen are 1,920 levels of brightness, P3 color range, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Anti-Blue Light certification to protect your eyesight. The experience was very good, but we'll have to test it more closely to draw more accurate conclusions.
Ultra-powerful, unrivaled performance
When we take a look at the components of the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro, we find that it has a wealth of features that can define it as one of the best and most powerful Android and the most powerful product Xiaomi has made so far.
The Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (the latest Qualcomm processor) also comes in a version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
In the hands, this speed is transferred instantly and we never had any problems with the applications on the phone. Again, Xiaomi seems to have done a good job with the performance of the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Leica adds to the best photography on Android
If we put the Xiaomi Mi 13 and Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro together, the camera modules on both phones might look the same, but that's not the case. The Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro comes with three 50 MP sensors each: the main sensor, the ultra wide angle and the telephoto lens.
The main camera has a one-inch sensor: it allows more light in, which is one of the main advantages of the Xiaomi 13 Pro camera. It also has Hyper OIS stabilization and supports video recording in 8K and Dolby Vision. Up to 4K 60 frames per second.
The Ultra Wide Angle is also 50 MP with a good 115-degree angle of view to provide that resolution, but it's the telephoto lens that really counts. The sensor is equipped with motion focus technology and is built on top of another, more important technology: the floating lens. One of the seven components that make up the telephoto lens is floating (literally) and can be moved back and forth to go from a 10cm zoom to a 70x hybrid zoom. Of course, the optical zoom stays at 3.2 increase, the same as the standard Xiaomi Mi 13.
Leica has been responsible for contributing its grains of sand and configuring these sensors, and the experience of the camera manufacturer will be evident in our daily work: in addition to Leica filters, we will also get images with more natural colors by default in the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro Camera app.
Overall, after using the lens indoors, I noticed a big improvement in quality, especially speed. But I already expected that it seems to be one of the best Android on the market, if not then the best, that is also front-end in photography.
Xiaomi 13's battery lives up to its name
In theory, the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro is no slouch when it comes to battery capacity: 4,820 mAh is enough to make this impressive phone last all day.
With technologies such as the LTPO of the screen or the charge management of the Xiaomi Surge processor, it is likely that we will have enough capacity to deal with everyday tasks, but if not, the company has already achieved charging speeds of 120 W wired, 50 W wireless, and even a reversible charging with 10 W left.
The Xiaomi HyperCharge will be able to charge our Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro to 100% in less than 20 minutes, but those numbers would have to be fresh from the factory. Experience with these types of loads tells us that these times can vary wildly depending on external temperatures, voltages, and other metrics.
Xiaomi has never done better
After using the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro for a few weeks and providing you with proven conclusions, I think this could very well be one of the best and most powerful Android phones of 2023.
Design, Battery Life, Photography ...... Whichever way you look at it, the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro is a masterpiece piece of work that exudes elegance from every angle.
The curved screen is probably one of the reasons why you're going for the most basic model, and even though it's very similar in terms of specs, if you want a large size, minimal thickness, and an almost perfect back, but it doesn't get much better than the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro.
