Hello there! I am the original huh, click to follow, more exciting content waiting for you!
The best Xiaomi phones may not be as well known as the best iPhones or the best Android phones, but their exceptional build quality and great cameras make them one of the best values on the market.
Please note that this is not to say that you will find all Xiaomi phones in our list of cheapest phones. By 2024, the company will also have plenty of options in the premium segment, including models that rival the best camera phones, as well as others with performance specs that rival the best phones.
After a thorough review of most of the top Xiaomi phones, we can help you find the best Xiaomi phone for your needs.
Xiaomi 14: The best phone ever
I haven't finished testing the ultra-high-end Xiaomi 14 Ultra yet, so let's go with the standard Xiaomi 14 as the best-performing Xiaomi phone you can buy right now.
That said, the Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra is much more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 14 and only offers great camera features, so they aren't that different from a performance standpoint.
Sharing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with its high-end sibling, the Xiaomi Mi 14 is a compact and powerful phone. The phone is more than capable of handling demanding gaming and productivity tasks, not least because HyperOS excels at performance management and its overall power profile limits the demands that apps and services place on the phone's internals.
However, even without Performance Mode turned on, the Xiaomi Mi 14 was able to compete with many of the other best Android phones out there in manual benchmarks, while scoring much weaker in compute and graphics tests compared to other flagships.
The Xiaomi Mi 14 comes with a larger 4,610mAh battery than its predecessor, and the charging capacity has been bumped up to 90W wired and 50W wireless. If we have any criticism of the Xiaomi 14's performance, it's that Xiaomi has a shorter update promise than its competitors.
The Xiaomi 14 will offer four years of OS updates and five years of security updates, which is a good number by all means, but not as much as the likes of Apple or Samsung offer.
Xiaomi 13: Best compact phone
If you don't want to stretch your budget to the aforementioned Xiaomi 14, but still want a compact Xiaomi phone with plenty of firepower, the 6.36-inch Xiaomi 13 is still an excellent choice for 2024.
The phone's lightning-fast speed is thanks to the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and the device is available in two memory variants: 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Aside from a slight increase in size, the Xiaomi Mi 13's display is largely unchanged from that of its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 12, but Xiaomi's know-how in terms of brightness and vibrant colors is reflected in the sleeker, almost iPhone-like body of its latest phone. A flagship in the "cool" camp of today's best Android phones.
Admittedly, aside from the Leica-branded camera setup, there's little originality to the phone in terms of design, but if you like Apple's straight-edged aesthetic, the Xiaomi Mi 13's unabashed resemblance to the best iPhones makes it even more appealing. Advantage.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra: the best new Xiaomi phone
Now the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is undoubtedly the best new Xiaomi phone. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with incredible performance and a host of useful AI features to sit alongside other big brands like Apple and Samsung.
While I haven't had a chance to fully review this phone yet, I didn't spend a lot of time with the Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra to experience it, and it left a lasting impression on us. It has a comfortable form factor for everyday use and gaming, and features an elegant design that is sure to turn heads.
The Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra has few drawbacks, it's that good. However, since it is Xiaomi's first flagship phone of 2024, it is quite expensive. It's also worth noting that the photography features are very comprehensive and may be a bit overwhelming for some, but it really depends on your experience with previous Xiaomi phones or high-end cameras.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G: Xiaomi's best mid-range phone
Still priced well, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes with the Tenguet 7200 Ultra SoC and offers 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage options. The 6.67-inch OLED display has a 120 Hz refresh rate and runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi has improved its update policy for Redmi models, which now benefit from three Android updates and four years of security updates. In the triple camera module you can usually use the main lens, which is very effective at 200 MP and makes the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ a truly versatile smartphone.
The 5000 mAh battery can be recharged using the included 120 W charger, which is also unusual for a product in its price range.
