Hello! I’m Yuan Hehe. Please follow me for more exciting content. Xiaomi 18 Pro Max leaks
Information about the Xiaomi 18 series has been primarily released by reliable sources lately. Based on the current pace, this generation will most likely feature three models: a standard version, a Pro version, and a Pro Max, similar to previous models.
In his latest message, he mentioned two key points: screen specifications and the core chip. Although the details haven’t been fully elaborated, it’s safe to say that display and performance will remain the focus of this generation.
The current situation is quite typical, belonging to the early stage of gradually “releasing information.” The information is not complete, but we can already roughly see the basic outline of the product. More details should be added gradually later.
Xiaomi Mi 18 Pro Max: Preliminary Information on Screen and Core Configuration
In this wave of news about the Xiaomi 18 series, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is starting to take shape. According to the leaks, it will likely use Qualcomm’s next-generation SM8975 platform, and will probably be named something like Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Although the model name wasn’t directly mentioned, judging from its positioning and timing, it basically corresponds to the Pro Max segment.
There’s also some directional information regarding the screen. It’s rumored to be a large, nearly 6.9-inch flat screen. This design aligns well with the “large-screen flagship” concept, offering a more immersive visual experience and allowing for more internal components. Compared to many current slightly curved screen solutions, a flat screen will be more intuitive for everyday use and gaming.
Beyond the core configuration, the details of the user experience also seem to be being adjusted simultaneously. For example, the symmetrical dual speakers and the larger X-axis linear motor may not seem like “core selling points,” but they significantly impact the overall feel during actual use. Especially the vibration feedback; if tuned well, typing, gaming, and even everyday operations will feel much more refined.
Based on the information pieced together so far, the design concept for this machine is quite clear: a large screen, powerful performance, and enhancements to some details of the user experience, all leaning towards an “all-around flagship.” However, this is still in the early stages of leaks, and many things are not yet finalized. More specific configurations will likely be released gradually later.
Based on recent leaks, the direction of the next generation of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is becoming clearer. One interesting point is that it may retain the small rear screen from the previous generation, but this time it will incorporate more AI-related functions, going beyond simply displaying information and expanding towards becoming a “practical tool.”
Some of the imaging specifications have also been released in advance. The prototype is said to use a 200-megapixel, 1/1.28-inch large-sensor main camera, and will also introduce an updated version of LOFIC HDR technology, with a focus on dynamic range and low-light performance.
The telephoto lens lineup is also quite aggressive, with a periscope lens potentially reaching 200 megapixels. If this configuration is implemented, it will likely be designed to cover shooting needs across different focal lengths. The ultra-wide-angle lens is more conventional, rumored to be 50 megapixels.
There are also significant changes in the battery, with reports suggesting a capacity of 8500mAh, a figure approaching that of some tablet devices. Combined with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, the overall user experience should lean towards a focus on “long battery life and fast charging.”
In terms of the operating system, it will most likely run HyperOS 4 based on Android 17, with optimizations primarily focused on smoothness and AI features. As for the release date, the prevailing consensus is that it will be in September of this year, which aligns with Xiaomi’s usual release schedule.
Overall, this generation of Pro Max seems to be focusing on several key areas simultaneously: further improving imaging specifications, extending battery life, and incorporating some new interactive features. However, this information is currently only in the leak stage, and we’ll have to wait for the official release to confirm how much of it will actually materialize.
