Hello, how are you? I am the original huh, click on the attention, more exciting content waiting for you!
Flagship phones may offer great features, but they're increasingly beyond the reach of many people. That's where this excellent list of mid-range phones may come in handy.
There are still plenty of phones to choose from at this price point. That's why I'm writing this article, to show you what I think are the best 6 phones for less. And all of them are strong performance and low price, and high value.
True GT 2 Pro: the best mid-range phone
All in all, the Realme GT 2 Pro is the best mid-range phone you can buy right now. It contains everything we want from a phone at this price, while only giving up what we consider to be luxurious extra features that many would be happy without.
Importantly, it's a fast, reliable phone to use. I compared the Realme GT 2 Pro to more expensive Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and Oppo Find X5 Pro and found that the cheaper Realme GT 2 Pro actually performed just as well in my tests. You'll notice little to no difference between the two.
More importantly, this is just one of the many areas where the True GT 2 Pro impresses. The paper finish on the back is unique and offers a nice change of pace from the glass and metal plates, especially in the mint green hue I reviewed.
There is also a 5G network, which you will find on all these phones and can be charged quickly using the included plug. We managed to get a full charge from a completely drained phone in about 33 minutes.
Not only does it have the fastest charging speed of any phone on this list, but it also has the best screen. the OLED panel is flat, with 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Increasing the refresh rate results in a smoother experience.
As with any phone at this price, there are some sacrifices here. You won't find wireless charging support here, and it doesn't have an official IP rating for water and dust resistance.
The zoom camera is also missing, although this is usually a weakness of phones in this segment; most affordable zoom sensors offer results that are usable at best.
Huawei Nova 10 series: the best camera phone
Huawei Nova 10 and Huawei Nova 10 Pro, two mid-range smartphones with a wealth of features. With a 50 MP RYYB primary camera and a 60 MP ultra-wide angle camera, this pair should be able to compete with many other competing smartphones. The Huawei Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro also rely on the Snapdragon 778G chipset and feature a 120 Hz OLED display.
The smartphone pair Huawei Nova 10 and Huawei Nova 10 Pro are very similar, with only a few differences. For starters, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro has a slightly larger display with a higher resolution, and Huawei also has a secondary front-facing camera. In addition, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro has a larger battery and also supports higher wattage wired charging.
Specifically, the Huawei Nova 10 features a 6.67-inch display with 2,400 × 1,080 pixels, a 60 MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging support.
In contrast, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro features a 6.78-inch display with a native resolution of 2,652 x 1,200 pixels, an 8 MP portrait camera, and a 60 MP front-facing camera on the Huawei Nova 10. In addition, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro relies on a 4,500 mAh capable of charging at 100 W.
However, the differences end there, with the Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset powering both smartphones. Again, both smartphones have a 50 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 2 MP depth-of-field rear camera.
In addition, the pair has a 120 Hz OLED display that also offers a 300 Hz touch sampling rate. Again, Huawei comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage space.
Redmi Note 12 5G: The Best Mid-Range Redmi Phone
If the above two phones are still on the expensive side for your liking, then the slightly cheaper Redmi Note 12 5G is a good choice. This is the entry level in the series and is one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset.
In addition, the 165.88 x 76.21 x 7.98 mm and 188 grams phone has the same 6.67-inch OLED display as the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
As a result, the Redmi Note 12 has a native resolution of 1080p, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. In addition, the device has a 48 MP primary camera, a 2 MP macro camera and an 8 MP camera, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support.
Xiaomi also includes a 3.5mm jack and NFC, but only the Android 12-based MIUI 13, which is priced at CNY 1,199 with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage.
In addition Redmi offers the Redmi Note 12 with 6 GB RAM, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: Best for lots of features
If you're a big fan of the Galaxy S20 FE, the updated Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is still a must-have for fans of Samsung phones. It has a rich feature set and is a good choice if you are happy with the Samsung ecosystem but don't mind some of the higher priced phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE excels at including almost all features, even if they aren't always the best. It's one of the only phones on this list with wireless charging, an IP68 water resistance rating, and a telephoto camera for zoom shots.
The 6.4-inch OLED screen isn't the best you'll find on this list, but during my review of the phone, I still found it to be very bright and worked perfectly in sunny conditions.
Of the three rear cameras, it is the main 12 MP sensor that impressed us the most, as it is almost identical to the features found in the regular Samsung Galaxy S21, and according to my tests, the photos are great in all conditions.
iPhone 13 mini: The best iPhone at a low price
If you're an Apple fan and are adamant about buying an iPhone, there are multiple options on the market today. The regular iPhone 14 retails for $5,999, which is too expensive for what we consider a mid-range phone, so it's been crossed off the list. But the cheaper iPhone 13 Mini is within budget, and it's a good choice if you want a smaller phone.
You have to really get used to this smaller form factor to enjoy iPhone 13 Mini, and it may not be for those who are watching videos or playing games. That's because I found the screen to be too small.
However, if you use your phone more for messaging, social media, and taking photos, then the smaller size may be beneficial. It is also the most comfortable phone on this list for one-handed use, especially if you have smaller hands.
In terms of features, iPhone 13 Mini is the same as the more expensive iPhone 13. In real-world use, the performance is the best of any midrange phone, and the dual cameras on the back are great. You'll also get years of support with iOS updates.
Wireless charging is right here, as is the IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It's also a very pretty phone, available in a variety of elegant colors. If you want a cheaper iPhone, the iPhone SE 2022 has the same high-end performance, but a slightly older body and smaller screen.
