Tech manufacturing giant Huawei is all set to relaunch its usual dual-flagship phone lineup releases within a year. Recall that it had to drop some of its usual devices after some reason. The company was unable to release two flagships per year for obvious reasons.

Now, it's about to resume. Last year it released the Huawei Mate 50 series, and this spring Huawei released the Huawei P60 series. Now there's news that Huawei will launch the Huawei Mate 60 series in the second half of this year. This means that Huawei's product releases are finally returning to the spring (first half of the year) with the Huawei P series, and fall (second half of the year) with the Huawei Mate series dropping. This is the dual flagship strategy that Huawei is known for.

Huawei launched the Huawei P60 series, but the company is also planning to launch its second flagship phone, the Mate 60 series, later this year. The latest news on the matter reveals that Huawei Mate 60 series is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

According to tipsters on social media, the Huawei Mate 60 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, it is likely to be 4G only.

We don't have an official confirmation on the matter, but it makes sense that the company could make a better investment in that chipset. If Huawei is planning to launch the Mate 60 series later this year, it could effectively utilize the new chip, but depending on the release time, which could be around October, the tech company may not be able to download the latest Gen 3 chipset as Qualcomm holds a new flagship launch around December. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 4G mobile platform is built on TSMC's 4nm node process.

In terms of battery life, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset gives you 40% of CPU efficiency and 45% of reduced Adreno GPU power consumption. The Gen 2 chip on the Antutu scores 1.3 million points compared to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 used in Huawei's Mate 50 series.

It is also expected that the Huawei Mate 60 series will come with the HarmonyOS 4 operating system and various new features.

And the foldable smartphone segment will see a new addition from Huawei this year, with a new Pocket flip-style device being one of them, due to launch later.

The media revealed that Huawei is preparing a new Pocket series model for the second half of this year. This is amazing news for those who appreciated the first generation Huawei P50 Pocket and Huawei Pocket S.

There are no specs or design leaks for the unreleased pocket-sized phone, but we can expect better hardware and design aesthetics. This move will help the company to achieve new sales and growth in the Chinese smartphone market.

The flip-foldable phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 4G chipset with octa-core architecture (octa-core, 4 × Cortex-A78, 2.42 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A55, 1.8 GHz) and Adreno 642L GPU.

Huawei Pocket S brings a dual-camera system that includes a 40 MP ultra-sensitive camera (f/1.8 aperture) and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture). It can take photos of various scenes.

Modes include macro, high pixel mode, time-lapse, super wide angle, large aperture bokeh, dual view video, super night view, super macro, macro video, macro picture-in-picture, and more.
