At first glance, you might mistake the Northcom Asura 3S Wireless Joystick for the Xbox Wireless Gamepad, as the two are actually somewhat similar in shape and size. Where the two differ, however, is in the attention to detail given to almost every aspect of the gamepad - from the placement of the joystick to the materials used.

The best gamepads are the ones that don't require you to think too much about your user habits when using them. So many "pro" grade gamepads add extra buttons, paddles, and switches in various places around the joystick that it helps provide an extra gaming control experience, but it just doesn't feel natural when you're actually using it.

On the other hand, the two macro back buttons on the Norton Asura 3S Wireless Grip are effortless to use, allowing you to hold the gamepad as usual while being able to press each macro back button with ease.

The two macro back buttons are located underneath the gamepad, right on the base. It is integrated directly into the bottom of the joystick and is slightly raised, so your middle finger can easily find them when you are holding the gamepad. It also has the equivalent of two other keys that are adjacent to the home button. These can be adapted to your operating habits and also ensure that when you are gaming, your fingers get tired of operating and you replace them to rest.

The primary game buttons are designed with a bit of resistance to prevent accidental button presses during gameplay. The secondary game buttons have a little more strength to compensate for the way you press them diagonally with the outer part of your middle finger. The difference in tension makes all four game buttons feel equally good to press without adding any extra fatigue during gameplay.

In addition to the redesigned gaming keys, the Northcom Asura 3S Wireless Grip comes with two thumbsticks and two interchangeable cross keys: two standard concave cross keys that can be changed to suit the needs of the game, a convex rocker for faster movement, and another rocker for more precise aiming. Each joystick is encased in a semi-soft rubberized grip for the perfect balance of comfort and durability.

On the front of the gamepad are standard gamepad buttons with the same look and feel as Microsoft's first-party products. By default, the Nortel Asura 3S wireless joystick also comes with the new Mix button, but you can configure it with the Nortel Asura 3S wireless joystick button if desired.

Most importantly, the Nortel Asura 3S Wireless Grip feels great in your hand. Instead of using metal and other heavy materials like those used in high-end gamepads to convey a "premium" feel, the Norton Asura 3S Wireless Grip is made of lightweight materials to minimize fatigue during long gaming sessions. The final weight is an impressive 244 grams, which is lighter than a standard Xbox wireless gamepad.

The grip on the back of the gamepad is all very good. It has a laser sun screen pattern that thickens as it reaches the edge of the handle, providing more grip where your hand actually touches the gamepad and less friction against the center.

This sunburst extends along the joystick, rear trigger, and bumper, creating a subtle and cohesive design throughout the gamepad. As far as the battery is concerned, the Northcom Asura 3S Wireless Grip is powered by an internal battery.

Similar to many other gamepads, you can download the official software through the official website and then you can fully customize your gamepad experience.

The Norton Asura 3S Wireless Gamepad excelled in every game I played - from casual games to competitive games. Honestly, I was most impressed with this gamepad, especially when playing competitive games like Forever Unchained.

When sparring, the instant triggers are very sensitive and responsive, allowing me to hit my opponents on almost every spar, especially when vibroblading. And fatigue is greatly reduced during combos and power-ups.

The angled edges around the thumbstick also ensured that my fingers didn't go awry as I glided, jumped and sprinted around for eternity. As a seasoned veteran gamer, this was a subtle but welcome change due to the nature of my grip on the joystick. I was surprised to find that the gamepad was able to do a good job when performing quick maneuvers. The rear handle on the gamepad also kept my hands comfortable and firmly in place.

I was able to comfortably play the entire game while keeping my fingers mostly on the thumbsticks as expected. The buttons themselves were so easy to press that I didn't even have to think about it when using them, I just pressed them smoothly. Every millisecond counts in competitive gaming, and the easier your gamepad is to use , the better the game plays. So do you like it?
