Huawei, a giant in the tech world, is expected to launch the new Huawei Mate 60 series later this year, possibly with the brand new Kirin chipset.

Despite some of the usual shortcomings of Huawei phones, the Huawei Mate 50 series continues to impress, with some of the exceptional photography capabilities in particular to be commended. These are all we know about the Huawei Mate 60 series so far.

When will the Huawei Mate 60 series be released?

As of the time I'm writing this, we don't have an official confirmation of a date from the company, but some rumors hint that we could see a September 2023 release for the new phone.

A tech expert recently revealed that the Huawei Mate 60 series is expected to make its debut in September, a prediction that seems to be justified as the Huawei Mate 50 series was also released at the same time. This has raised expectations for the new series and the potential seems to be something that cannot be underestimated.

What will the Huawei Mate 60 series have to offer?

As you may have guessed, Huawei has yet to make any official announcements about the new models, so there are no confirmed details yet in the specs we'll see later this year. But that doesn't mean there aren't some interesting rumors about the Huawei Mate 60 series.

There have been some domestic leaks reported on the web recently, with some tipsters claiming that Huawei will be using a dynamic island design similar to the one found on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, where a pill-shaped area is used to house Huawei's front-facing camera for the Mate 60 series.

This hints at a possible change to the bangs design on Huawei's Mate 50 Pro, although it's unclear if it will feature similar software enhancements as Apple's.

The design is somewhat of a throwback, as Huawei's Mate 40 series had a similar design. The design of the variable aperture on the main camera has been a major point of discussion, allowing users to make a smooth 10-step aperture adjustment between f/1.4 and f/4.0.
