SHENZHEN, April 10, 2023 - BYD officially launched the world's first new energy exclusive intelligent body control system, the Cloud Van, at a grand launch event.
This marks BYD as the first automobile company in China to independently develop and master the intelligent body control system. The Cloud Chariot product matrix includes the Cloud Chariot-C, Cloud Chariot-A, Cloud Chariot-P and other products, which are dedicated to creating the ultimate safety with high-end technology, and to comprehensively improving the driving experience of consumers from the multi-dimensional aspects of comfort, maneuverability, safety, and off-road.
The word "Cloud Chariot" is inspired by the "Wei Shu", which is taken from the "emperor's carriage" in ancient China, and "cloud" means to create a lighter and smoother driving experience with intelligent technology.
BYD Group Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu said, "The birth of the Cloud Chariot rewrites the history of body control technology relying on foreign countries, fills the technical gaps in China, and realizes the breakthrough from 0 to 1. As soon as the 'Cloud Chariot' was unveiled, it stood at the leading position in the industry, accomplishing the enhancement from 1 to 2."
The Cloud Van Intelligent Body Control system is BYD's new solution to the problem of controlling the vertical direction of the body, aiming to improve the comfort, sportiness, safety and off-road performance of the vehicle.
In the product matrix, the intelligent damping body control system of the emperor's carriage-C, the intelligent air body control system of the emperor's carriage-A, and the intelligent hydraulic body control system of the emperor's carriage-P provide multi-level intelligent control of the vehicle to satisfy the multiple needs of consumers for a luxurious driving experience.
The cloud van system is not only another safety technology breakthrough of BYD after the blade battery, CTB, and Easy Four Square, but also realizes the upgraded safety from the point of view of systematic control in the vertical direction of the whole vehicle.
The system effectively suppresses changes in body posture and reduces the risk of vehicle rollover, while providing all-around protection under complex road conditions to avoid bumping damage to the vehicle caused by the terrain, providing double safety protection for drivers and passengers.
In the climax of the conference, BYD introduced the Cloud Chariot-X intelligent full active body control system, which was first equipped on the U9. The Yun-car-X technology demonstrates the highest level of fully active body control technology, realizing high-level functions such as "0" tilt, "0" pitch, three-wheel driving, vehicle dancing and jumping in place, leading the development of body control technology again.
