It uses or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model, and it's powerful. This, coupled with the huge 6.8-inch 120Hz 1440 x 3088 screen, makes the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra a pleasure to use.
We've really only scratched the surface of what this phone has to offer. A large battery, 45W fast charging, water resistance, lots of RAM and storage, and many other flagship features.
2. Samsung Galaxy A53: the best cheap Samsung phone
The Samsung Galaxy A53 isn't the fastest phone out there, but it offers a low price. It looks great, has a low-profile camera bump on the back, and is comfortable to hold.
Its 6.5-inch screen uses an AMOLED panel and offers both Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, so it's easily one of the best-looking displays in this price range.
With that comes a 64MP main lens, 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, 5MP macro lens and 5MP depth sensor, so the Samsung Galaxy A53 can take some pretty good photos with the help of some smart software options.
A little dull at times, we'd still recommend the Samsung Galaxy A53 if you're getting a great camera and screen on a low budget.
3. Samsung Galaxy S22: the best small Android flagship
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is new to the Galaxy S22 lineup, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider it. In fact, as the cheapest of Samsung's flagship trio, it's a very tempting phone and easily one of the best Samsung phones out there.
In my review, I praised its performance and sleek yet sturdy construction. It's also compact by flagship phone standards, with a 6.1-inch screen and compact overall dimensions that make it a great choice for small phone enthusiasts. The screen isn't boring, however, with a 120Hz refresh rate and crisp 1080 x 2340 resolution.
The cameras - while not comparable to those on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra - are also quite good, including a new 50MP primary sensor, as well as powerful ultra-wide and telephoto sensors.
As mentioned earlier, the phone performs well as it comes with a high-end chipset (although the chipset varies by region) and 8GB of RAM.
If you need the biggest or best phone, then this isn't for you, but if you want a powerful, compact flagship on a budget, then the Samsung Galaxy S22 is well worth considering.
4. Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus: Samsung's excellent second generation
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is Samsung's mid-range flagship for 2022, but it has more in common with the standard Samsung Galaxy S22 than the Note like Galaxy S22 Ultra. so if you want the best quality legacy Galaxy S model for 2022, then this is the one for you.
It has a large 6.6-inch 1080 x 2340 screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, its high-end chipset and a powerful feature load of 8GB RAM.
As well as a powerful camera that includes a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto camera (offering a 3x optical zoom) and 12MP ultra-wide. In my review, I found it particularly good at portrait photography.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is also available in a variety of colors so you can choose how your phone looks, and it supports a sizable 45W charge.
All in all, it's an expensive phone that could be a tough sell when sandwiched between the more affordable and compact Samsung Galaxy S22 and the truly top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
5. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: the best Samsung foldable phone
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the top Samsung foldable phone you can buy, but with its hefty price tag, it's certainly not for everyone.
It has a large 7.6-inch foldable screen and a more traditional 6.2-inch secondary display - both of which have the high quality you'd expect from an expensive Samsung phone.
It also has more power than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, and an upgraded camera over its predecessor with a 50MP primary sensor.
We were also impressed with the software in my review, which is better optimized for multitasking this year and is generally better suited for foldable phones.
It's not a huge upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, but it's a nice improvement on an already great foldable phone.
6. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4: top Samsung flip foldable phone
Samsung pretty much perfected the flip foldable phone with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, so it's no surprise to find that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is just a minor upgrade.
You get a bigger battery, faster charging and a more powerful chipset here, but almost everything else is the same as the previous model.
But that's okay, because the Z Flip 3 is a great phone, and the Z Flip 4 is even better. In my review, I was particularly impressed with its performance and how compact it is, and the larger battery helps solve one of the Flip 3's biggest problems.
We were hoping for bigger changes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, but for now, this is the best flip foldable phone you can buy, and one of the best Samsung phones out there.
