Hello, how are you? I am the original huh, click on the attention, more exciting content waiting for you!
The competition for the title of cheapest cell phone is fierce, and who you choose depends on how much you're willing to pay for your phone. Whichever cell phone you end up choosing, it's great. Choose one of the cheapest cell phones here and you'll find enough high-end features to make it worth your while.
You'll need to make some tradeoffs to get a cheap phone - forget the most powerful processor or a versatile zoom camera, but in many cases you'll find that these lenses are more than enough to get the job done, and there's even a large display with an adaptive refresh rate. Today's cheapest phones even feature 5G connectivity.
Samsung Galaxy A54
As good as last year's Samsung Galaxy A53, the Samsung Galaxy A54 improves this mid-range phone in all key areas for smartphone users.
The main camera is now the same 50MP lens that Samsung uses on the more expensive Samsung Galaxy S23, which helps the Samsung Galaxy A54 match the impressive cameras of flagship phones. In frontal shots, the Samsung Galaxy A54 holds its own and in some cases even outperforms flagship phones, especially when it comes to low-light shots.
The 6.4-inch OLED panel is brighter than the Samsung Galaxy A53's screen, with the same colors as always. The battery life is also longer, as the Samsung Galaxy A54 outlasted the average smartphone by half an hour in my battery test. I also like the colorful look of the Samsung Galaxy A54.
We'd expect the Exynos 1380 processor to outperform it and be just as good as the Samsung Galaxy A54's display, and those bezels are very noticeable.
Nonetheless, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is still cheap, and it's an impressive phone that offers a better option for those on a budget or using it as a backup.
Redmi Note 12
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G has been highly anticipated and it comes in a quadratic construction that lets you put in a 5000mAh battery, a 3.5mm audio jack, and more.
It fits on the curved back, is compact in stature, and looks upscale despite the plastic back cover. The power button, fingerprint scanner and volume rocker on the right side are cleverly arranged, intuitive and easy to grasp.
The Redmi Note 12 5G's powerhouse is its 6.67-inch AMOLED DotDisplay with a crisp and perfect 2400×1080 pixel resolution, and the advertised 450 nits of brightness is definitely impressive, not to mention the maximum 1200 nits of brightness that makes it easy to use even in bright environments.
The narrow bezels make for plenty of screen space, and the perforated selfie camera sits right in the center, and with the thin bezels, it doesn't detract from the viewing experience. The cameras on the Redmi Note 12 5G are pretty good, with the 48MP main camera producing images that are rich in detail and accurate in color, thanks in part to AI technology, while the 2MP Macro camera is not as good, producing blurry images that lack detail and color accuracy.
The Redmi Note 12 5G comes with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset with support for 5G networks and is available in 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128 or 8GB+256GB, and we're using the base variant this time around to see if the cheapest of the bunch is capable of daily use.
The power button and fingerprint scanner are also very useful and responsive, there may just be a slight delay before opening an app. The Redmi Note 12 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery which is good for a full day of daily use and will last longer if you turn down the refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz.
All in all, the Redmi Note 12 5G offers 5G connectivity, an AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 500mAh battery in its price range, but the camera is disappointing, with images that lack the "wow" factor and are sometimes not even recognizable. So, on a budget, I'd prefer a device without 5G but with a better camera setup.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a premium grip, despite being a little bigger than a laptop, it's still lightweight and fits my hand well, and it comes in a sleek black finish, or you can choose between white and blue color schemes.
It's also got great internal features that are budget oriented, it focuses on the camera, battery and display so you can take great photos or play some games.
The 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display delivers crisp visuals and with a 5000mAh battery and 67W turbo boost you can be sure you'll be able to play games for a long time, and it also has a 12-layer graphite flake cooling system to prevent the phone from overheating.
Also, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has a great camera, it comes with a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra wide camera and a 2 MP micro camera with light sensitivity to capture high quality photos, it also has 256 GB of RAM for storing a lot of photos.
Apple iPhone SE (2022)
iPhone SE 2022 features Apple's powerful A15 bionic chip, which takes cheap phones to a new level of performance. It's the same processor found in iPhone 13, and it leaves all Android phones in the dust, whether you're playing games or editing videos on the go.
The chip also provides the new iPhone SE 2022 with a number of photography features that were lacking in the previous model, including Intelligent HDR 4, Magic Fusion for better detail, and Photography Styles.
In fact, in some situations, the iPhone SE still takes great photos. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't offer a night mode for low-light situations.
The latest iPhone SE features the same design as before, which means a small 4.7-inch display and large bezels, but some may prefer the old-fashioned Touch ID button to quickly unlock the phone.
Despite some tradeoffs, the iPhone SE 2022 is a great option for people who like smaller phones. With rumors that the iPhone SE 4 may not ship until 2024, it may be your best bet for a cheap iPhone for the foreseeable future.
