Hello, how are you? I am the original huh, click on the attention, more exciting content waiting for you!
In all likelihood, the iPhone SE 4 is still a long way off. After all, the iPhone SE 3 (also known as the iPhone SE (2022)) only recently launched in March 2022, and new models in Apple's affordable iPhone lineup aren't usually released every year.
That said, after using the latest iPhone SE extensively, we know exactly what we want from the iPhone SE 4. Until then, though, you'll find information on the phone's likely release date and price below, along with any other news and rumors we've heard.
IPHONE SE 4 Release Date and Price
It's hard to say when (or if) the iPhone SE 4 will hit the market because, unlike most cell phones, we don't launch a new phone every year. So a March or April release next year seems most likely, but the actual year of the iPhone SE 4's release - or whether we'll see it at all - is uncertain.
While we heard a while ago that it was going to be canceled, Apple has recently restarted development on the iPhone SE 4, even though the company's release date is much later than initially planned for the smaller phone.
As for the price of the phone, there's certainly no word on that, but if the iPhone SE 4 eventually hits the market, we expect it to be priced similarly to the iPhone SE 2022, which starts at $3,299. That said, if the phone has several major improvements over its predecessor, a price hike will be inevitable.
IPHONE SE 4 News and Rumors
Assuming the iPhone SE 4 is in development, the phone is expected to bring significant changes to the lineup. For example, leakers previously claimed that its screen size will be 5.7-6.1 inches, which would be a significant jump from the current model's 4.7-inch display.
Since then, they've gotten more specific, saying that the iPhone SE 4 will come with a 6.1-inch screen and bangs instead of the large bezels of the current design.
This could mean Face ID could be added as well, though it's also possible that Apple could stick with Touch ID and mount the sensor on the side button instead of the front.
We've also now seen unofficial iPhone SE 4 renders showing off the iPhone SE 4 design, and they largely match the details above. Incidentally, the phone in the images looks almost identical to the iPhone XR.
In addition to these renders, the source also claims that the iPhone SE 4 will come with a 6.1-inch screen and come in Midnight (black), Starlight (white) and Product Red colors.
Another source also hinted that the iPhone SE 4 will feature an iPhone 14-like design with bangs, a 6.1-inch screen, and even Face ID.
However, they added that the iPhone SE 4 will also come with a customizable action button (instead of a mute switch) and USB-C, but it will still only have a rear camera.
There are also analysts predicting that the upcoming phone will inherit the OLED display used in the iPhone 14, while Young has been touting an LCD display. For our money, the former screen option is more likely - especially if the phone won't hit the market until 2025.
That said, in a follow-up tweet to the post below, Ming-Chi Kuo clarifies that this iPhone 14-like iPhone SE 4 could just be an engineering model. As such, the jury is still out on which modern iPhone is the next-generation iPhone SE. It could be similar to.
As for the phone's connectivity, another Apple leaker reported that Apple is working on a custom-designed 5G modem that will be manufactured by the company's chip manufacturing partner TSMC using a 4nm process.
It's unclear whether this 5G chip will offer any performance or energy efficiency improvements over rival modems made by the likes of Qualcomm, but it's safe to assume that the iPhone SE 4 will offer top-notch network connectivity.
